How does Emsella® work? 

The Emsella®  device uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) waves to stimulate the contraction of pelvic floor muscles. The contractions restore neuromuscular control and build strength in the muscles, which can help lessen bladder hyperactivity. 

During the Emsella® treatment session, the patient sits in a special chair while HIFEM waves are painlessly transmitted to the pelvic floor muscles. This treatment helps strengthen and stimulate pelvic floor muscles to relieve symptoms associated with urinary incontinence / hyperactive bladder. Mild tingling (a result of the muscles contracting) during the treatment session is common.

What does the treatment timeline look like?
