The PRP Facelift is an advanced aesthetic procedure that uses platelet rich plasma derived from your own blood to jumpstart the skin’s natural regeneration process. The procedure became popular when a number of celebrities started touting the benefits of this cutting-edge technology on social media, and it’s now available to people in the greater Nashville area at Transformative Dermatology in Franklin, TN.
What it does at a glance:
- Age-related volume loss
- Rough skin texture
- Skin graying due to less blood flow
With a name like “PRP Facelift”, it’s got to be good! Not everyone who wants a more youthful-looking face has to go under the knife. The PRP Facelift offers for a more refreshed, lifted shape without invasive surgery. Do you want smoother skin tone, a more natural shape, and fading of scars? We thought so. Thanks to collagen replenishment and tissue regeneration, this procedure uses the magic in your own blood to do just that and more.
Here’s how a PRP Facelift works.
The revolutionary treatment combines the science of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) from your own blood with hyaluronic acid fillers to rejuvenate the skin and restore its youthful, natural beauty that is as unique as the face it’s performed on. That pretty much sums it up.
What other conditions can the PRP Facelift help improve?
The PRP Facelift offers a painless approach to tackling a plethora of common skin concerns, like lines and wrinkles, lower facial laxity, jowling, loss of volume in the temple region, tear trough deformity, nasolabial folds, lip volume and thinning, eyebrow drooping, prominent cartilage on the nose, chin augmentation, and acne scars or other scars. The list just keeps going, huh?
Who is a likely candidate for the PRP Facelift?
Anyone who wants a more youthful appearance, has uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, or fine lines and wrinkles can benefit from this new wave of facelifts!
What can I expect before, during, and after treatment?
After a consultation to determine if a PRP Facelift is right for you, we start out with a simple blood draw from your arm. That’s where we’ll be getting the good stuff. We’ll then extract the PRP from the blood using a proprietary technique. Hyaluronic acid filler is then injected into strategic areas of the face to add a natural collagen scaffold (based on your individual facial structure), followed by the PRP being injected into the face to trigger the body’s own healing process, regrowth of new tissue, and increased blood flow. Finally, your aesthetician will slather on some Altar™ cream to enhance the effect of the PRP Facelift and maintain its benefits for the long haul. Before you know it, you’ll notice a face in the mirror you haven’t seen for quite some time.
How long does the PRP Facelift take, and how long before I notice results?
The PRP Facelift treatment only takes about an hour and a half, and it starts working right away. But since its main mechanism is your body’s own healing and regenerative process, you probably won’t notice optimal results until around three months after the treatment. Results last for one to two years.
Are there any side effects? Does the treatment hurt?
Potential side effects are redness, mild swelling, soreness, discoloration, bruising, and possible infection. With the topical numbing, the procedure is virtually pain free. If you still experience any discomfort or anxiety, however, we’ll be glad to provide Pro-Nox™ (laughing gas) and/or the Alpha-Stim® device to make sure you’re completely comfortable.
Let’s talk about expected results.
How about a fresher, more youthful appearance skillfully designed for your face, healthier looking skin, tissue repair, and renewed growth in all areas where PRP was placed? How’s that for results?
Risks are minimal but may include some mild redness, swelling, and a potential allergic reaction to the hyaluronic acid filler. We’ll do all we can to reduce any risks as much as humanly possible.
Are there any risks involved?
Since the PRP comes from your own body, there is virtually no risk of allergic reaction or rejection.
How much does a PRP Facelift cost?
Every patient is different. During your appointment, Dr. Jill will discuss with you your desired results and map out a treatment path and cost best suited for your individual needs.
